*ANAN pledges support to Prof. Kurawa

The Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Dr Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami has urged the newly appointed Vice-Chancellor of Yusuf Maitama Sule University, Kano, Professor Mukhtar Atiku Kurawa to use his wealth of experience towards moving the university forward.

The minister made the plea in a letter he personally signed and sent to the new Vice-Chancellor over his appointment.

“May the Almighty make your appointment beneficial to the nation and make you successful in the discharge of your subsequent responsibilities,” Dr Pantami prayed.

The Minister, in a statement issued by Head, Information, Publications & Public Relations Unit of the University,  Abdullahi Abba Hassan said the appointment is based on Prof. Kurawa’s track record as Rector and as well as seasoned Lecturer.

“I am therefore confident that you are adequately prepared for the challenges that would come along with this appointment,’’ said the statement.

“I write to express my gratitude to the Almighty Allah (SWA) and convey my goodwill message on your appointment as Vice-Chancellor, Maitama Sule University, Kano State,” he told the new Vice-Chancellor.

“Accept the assurances of my highest esteemed regards, please,” Dr. Pantami added.

Also the statement said, the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN) has congratulated the new Vice-Chancellor of Yusuf Maitama Sule University, Kano, Prof. Mukhtar Atiku Kurawa over his new appointment.

ANAN passed the congratulatory message in a letter it wrote recently which was signed by its Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Nurrudden A. Abdullahi, on behalf of the Governing Council and entire members of the association and addressed to the new Vice-Chancellor.

“Your appointment to this highly exalted position is indeed a reward of your years of hard work, commitment and dedication which you have put into the service of the nation.

“There is no doubt that the challenges before you at this crucial time are enormous, with high expectation from the Government and the Public. We trust that you will bring to bear your wealth of experience in tackling the challenges.

“We pledge our support for your success and pray that Almighty God will grant you the wisdom, good health and the strength to serve the nation,” ANAN stated.
