Director’s Murder: Ogun announces N50m reward for informants

The Ogun State Government on Friday, said it will give N50m to anyone who could give information that leads to the arrest of the killers of Taiwo Oyekanmi,  a former Director of Finance and Administration in Governor Dapo Abiodun’s office.

51-year-old Oyekanmi was gunned down by hoodlums on November 29. The slain senior civil servant was with two others. He was said to be returning to the Governor’s Office with money he had withdrawn from two commercial banks in Abeokuta. The gunmen made away with the cash after killing Oyekanmi.

But in a statement released on Friday, the state government said:   “Ogun State Government has announced a reward of N50m for anyone with information that could lead to the arrest of the killers of the state’s Director of Finance and Administration, Mr. Taiwo Oyekanmi, on 30th November 2023 in Abeokuta.

“Information provided would be treated with utmost confidentiality.”
