The Publisher of Daily Nigeria , an online newspaper that broke the story alleging Kano state governor Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje was seen in some video clips receiving bribe from contractors amounting to five million dollars says his life is under threat.
The Editor in Chief of the online newspaper Ja’afar Ja’afar in an interview with BBC Hausa service said he has been inundated with attempts to get rid of him by people sympathetic with the governor which may not be in the knowledge of Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.
He said the video clips which are more than ten were not fabricated as it has gone through several authentication that affirmed the governor was involved in the crime.
“The clips have being examined by Amnesty International Organization and few computer wizard who have confirmed authenticity of the clips,” said Jafaar.
“Our organization has reputation as we ensure the truth of our stories before publication”.
The online publisher decried insinuation that the story was sponsored as the newspaper recently even criticized the state former governor over imposition of candidates at the just concluded PDP primaries in Kano.
“Honestly it is funny for anybody to think the report was sponsored. Just a week ago we published story that criticize the former governor over imposition of his in law as the PDP governorship flag bearer,” Ja’afar said.

The state Commissioner for Information Muhammad Garba in a statement on Thursday denied the story saying their is no iota of truth in the publication.
