National Open University Vice Chancellor’s Father, Uba Adamu Dies In Kano

The Vice-Chancellor of National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Prof. Abdallah Uba Adamu has lost his father, Dr Uba Adamu on Monday.

Dr Uba Adamu died after a brief illness at a hospital in Kano at the age of 85.

Personal Assistant to Vice-Chancellor of NOUN, Malam AbdulRahaman Abdullahi confirmed the death to Solacebase on Monday.

He said the funeral prayers would be conducted at the residence of the deceased at Kawo, Nassarawa GRA, on Tuesday by 8.00 am.

He added that Dr Uba Adamu is survived with 17 children and many grandchildren.

Dr Uba Adamu a former Sole Administrator of Dambatta Local Government and Old Kano Municipal had his first degree at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, before proceeding to Indiana University, United States of America.

He subsequently had his PhD at Bayero University Kano in Political History and was a lecturer at Kano State Polytechnic before he retired to his private life.
