NYSC Member Allegedly Beats Boy To Death In Kano

A National Youth Service Corps ( NYSC) member serving in Bebeji local government area of Kano state, has allegedly beaten a young boy to death

It was gathered that the sad incident happened on Thursday evening when the boy was said to have rushed to the corps members’ lodge to collect his share of fruits usually distributed among children in the area.

It was further gathered that the deceased in his desperation to get its own share of the fruits,  accidentally collided with the corps member.

This, according to sources allegedly provoked him (corps member), punished him and two others before descending on him by beating him to a state of coma, which allegedly led to his death.

Solacebase gathered that the boy, Hassan Sulyman, 8, was confirmed dead at Bebeji General Hospital.

Kano Police Spokesman DSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa confirmed to Solacebase that the Corps Member, attached to Government Secondary School, Bebeji is under police custody

He said the Commissioner of Police has ordered that the case be transferred to the state CID for discrete investigation
