PHOTOS: Fidau prayer of SOLACEBASE publisher’s father in-law, Usman Mustapha

The fidau  prayer for late retired Military officer, Alhaji Usman Alabi Mustapha popularly known as Baba-Ola was held on Thursday at his residence, Oba Isanlu compound, Oja-gboro in Ilorin-East local government area of Kwara State.

SOLACEBASE reports that the retired military personnel died on Sunday night after a brief illness and was buried at Ilorin main cemetery beside Eid prayer ground on Monday.

Leading the fidau prayer, the Imam Gambari of Ilorin, Imam Sulaiman AbdulAzeez Al-Imam-Gambari described late Alhaji Usman Alabi Mustapha as a devoted Muslim that always accommodate people and contributed immensely to the community development.

Imam Sulaiman AbdulAzeez Al-Imam-Gambari prayed Allah to grant him eternal rest.

Also, the Cleric prayed for successful tenure of the present administration led by Mallam AbdulRahman Abdulrazaq to move the state to the next level.

In his sermon, the Grand Mukadam of Ilorin, Sheikh Sulaiman Dan-Borno called on Muslims to always engage in good deeds to receive the blessings and mercies of Allah.

Sheikh Dan-Borno advised Muslims to continue to hold on to the spirit of goodness at all times and be their brother’s keeper.

The Grand Mukadam of Ilorin described late Alhaji Usman Alabi Mustapha as an experienced person who dedicated himself to the service of the nation and humanity.

Sheikh Dan-Borno enjoined the children of the deceased to emulate the good deeds of their father and always remember him with prayers.

Late Alh Usman Alabi Mustapha, who died at the age of seventy-seven is survived by a wife, children and grandchildren among whom are AbdulRasaq Mustapha, a staff of University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital, , Tajudeen Mustapha, a businessman, Olawale Mustapha, a staff of INEC, Khadeeja Ayo Abubakar, a staff of FAAN and the wife of SOLACEBASE Publisher, Abdullateef Abubakar Jos.

Others are Bukola Musa, a staff with Kwara State Teaching Service Commission, Dr. Umar Olayiwola Mustapha, Chief Medical Director, Ilesha Baruba Cottage Hospital, in Kwara State and Olaitan Mustapha, a staff of Federal Fire Service.

The prayer session was attended by prominent personalities within and outside the state, Magajis, Islamic clerics, retired Military officers, government officials, including the representatives of the state government led by the Special Adviser on Special Duties to the Governor, Alhaji AbdulRasaq Jiddah and Balogun Alanamu of Ilorin, Dr Usman Abubakar Jos
