PHOTOS: Late NULGE President, Ibrahim Khaleel laid to rest in Kano
The remains of the National President, Nigerian Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) and also the National Treasurer, Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC), Ibrahim Khaleel was laid to rest at Wudil town, Wudil Local Government Area of Kano State on Thursday evening.
The funeral prayer was led by the Chief Imam of Wudil Central Mosque, Alhaji Isah Abbas.
Kano State Deputy Governor, Alhaji Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna led the state government delegation that includes the State Commissioner for Information and Internal Affairs Malam Muhammad Garba, the Commissioner for Local Government Alhaji Murtala Sule Garo, Chairman Wudil Local Government Council, Alhaji Sale Kausani, Kano NULGE President, Comrade Abdullahi Muhammad Gwarzo and Alhaji Tijjani Sulaiman Darazo, Executive Director, NSITF among others.

Speaking to Solacebase after the burial, Nigeria Labour Congress President, Comrade Ayuba Wabba said the labour movement has lost a vibrant colleague in the struggle to better the lives of Nigerians.
”Ibrahim Khaleel would mostly be remembered with his fight and struggle for autonomy of local government and his passion to always positively impact on the people.
Comrade Ayuba Wabba who was accompanied by over 20 Presidents of various industrial unions that include, NUT, JUSUN, NANNM, NCSU, NURTW and NLC General Secretary, Comrade Emmanuel Ogboaja became emotional when the body of the deceased was lowered into the ground.
