The 35th Convocation of Bayero University Kano on Saturday created an opportunity for Kano state governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje and Emir Muhammadu Sanusi II opportunity to sit together and discuss in public since the creation of four new Emirates on May 8th.
Governor Ganduje and Emir Sanusi that many believe are not best of friends at the moment due to apparent feud existing between them that was allegedly linked to pre-election moves by the Emir to see that Governor Ganduje did not get re-elected.
Also the creation of new Emirates and the investigation of the Emirate Council Fund by the state government which many described as a vendetta by the governor to settle scores with the Emir. Though Ganduje has denied that severally.
Solacebase reports that at the Saturday event that lasted for over four hours, Governor Ganduje and Emir Sanusi were seen engaging in deep discussions and side talks.
