The Nigerian Police Force has confirmed identifying 5 victims of alleged shooting at Ado Bayero Shopping Mall by its personnel on 17th June 2018.
Kano Police Spokesman SP Magaji Musa Majia said the preliminary investigation of the team probing the incident has discovered five victims of the alleged shooting at two hospitals in the state and the residence of one of them.
He explained that some of the victims are at Murtala Muhammad Specialists Hospital ,Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital and a personal residence as one of them has been discharged and receiving treatment at home.
“ The investigative team headed by ACP Bello Naziru Kankaraofi on Tuesday with a deadline of four days has visited the alleged and was able to confirm actually it was a gun shot injuries and what is left is to determined who shot the victims, “ said Majia.
The Police Spokesman said the personnel involved in the alleged shooting would be queried for not informing the Command of the act that there was a shooting on that day.
A source informed Solacebase on Thursday that the six mobile police personnel that worked at Ado Bayero Shopping Mall on the day of the incident were with the team investigating the incident at Metro Police station in Kano to write a statement on what they know about the incident.
Solacebase had exclusively report the alleged shooting incident of four person at the Ado Bayero Shopping Mall on Sunday 17th June 2018 which the Police initially denied but later issued a statement confirming Solacebase story.
