Presidential Result: Ganduje Commends Kano For Electing Buhari, 3 Senators, 24 Rep Members From APC

Kano state governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has commended people of the state for giving Buhari the highest votes in the country, with 1,464, 768 votes, representing 78.9%, from Kano.

Ganduje , impressed by the victory of President Muhammadu Buhari of All Progressives Congress (APC) for securing the second term of another 4 years appreciated the voting pattern of Kano state during the polls,

A statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor of Kano State,  Abba Anwar said Ganduje explained that, “We just need to commend Kano people for coming out en mass and giving the highest votes for President Muhammadu Buhari in the just concluded Presidential election. This shows how Kano people are so much attached to the ideals and principles of the President.”

To Ganduje, the victory of all the three Senators and 24 members of the House of Representatives, in the just concluded elections, is, but, a pointer to the explanation that,

“Kano is the strongest base of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). That is why we all resolved to, unanimously elect our President for the second time, all the 3 Senators and all the 24 members of the House of Representatives.”

The former governor of Kano state, who is former Minister of Education, the Sardauna of Kano, Malam Ibrahim Shekarau, is the Senator-elect for Kano Central Senatorial District. While serving Senators, Kabiru Ibrahim Gaya and Barau I. Jibrin were re- elected for second term as Senators for Kano South and Kano North Senatorial Districts respectively.

In the same vein, the wife of the governor Dr Hafsat Abdullahi Ganduje, also commended electorate, particularly women and youth for the peaceful conduct during the polls.

She said “I want commend women particularly and my children, youth for their determination to come out and cast their votes in favour of our President, Baba Buhari. For giving him another chance to rule for another round of 4 years, from 29th May, 2019 to 29th May, 2023.”
