Kano State Government has shut down a total of 6 private health facilities over failure to renew their registrations for 2020 with the state.
Solacebase reports that two private health facility were closed by the Private Health Institutions Management Agency (PHIMA), on Wednesday with four already shut down since the beginning of the exercise on Monday.
The Executive Secretary of the agency, Dr Usman Tijjani Aliyu said in a statement on Wednesday that many private health facilities have been complying with the registration which is impressing.

According to the statement, the clinics shut on Wednesday are Maryland Maternity Home at Sabon Gari and Saude Psychiatric Nursing Home at Kurna along Katsina road.
The Executive Secretary appealed to defaulters that stiffer sanctions await any sealed premises forcefully opened without the approval of the agency.
