Scores feared killed, dozens abducted as bandits open fire on travellers on Kaduna-Zaria road
Many travellers are feared killed and scores kidnapped as bandit terrorists opened fire on travellers along the busy Kaduna-Zaria Road on Monday evening.
The attack occurred at Kofar Gayan on the outskirt of Zaria.
According to DAILY NIGERIAN, the terrorists struck around 8pm, shooting sporadically at vehicles in order to immobilize them and abduct the passengers.
Witnesses said that the attackers took away many travellers into the bush before the arrival of security agents.

“They kidnapped many travellers, some fled, while others who were shot at. It will be difficult to determine the number of those killed or abducted,” said a witness.
Another witness said one Sani Dogara was shot dead by the bandits.
Police are yet to speak on the incident.
This issues is serious,it’s beyond a mere kidnapping. It’s a wake up call for all well-meaning Nigerians to realised that sometimes in 2015 there were insinuations that the North will be ungoverned and Notherners will become beggers, I think it’s the same agenda working presently.we should drop pointing accusing fingers on out Leaders and face this issue squarely. The North is under serious treath and we must look at it in that perspective. May Allah help us to realise this.
