Nigeria-Sustainable Development Goals (NG-SDGs) has nominated Habibu Yahaya Hotoro as Zonal Coordinator, North West of the projects.
Solacebase recalled that Habibu Yahaya Hotoro was recently elevated to Special Adviser to Kano State Governor on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) from Senior Special Assistant position.
A statement issued by Chief Press Secretary to the state Governor, Abba Anwar on Thursday said Habibu Yahaya Hotoro’s nomination was contained in a letter signed by Mrs J. Adebimpe Aor, the Co-Chairman of Projects Management Committee (PMC) and Dr M. A. Ibrahim min, National Coordinator Nigeria-Sustainable Development Goals (NG-SDGs)
According to the statement, the letter states that “We have the honour to formally inform you that the Projects Management Committee (PMC) has unanimously endorsed your nomination as Zonal Co-ordinator, North West Zone (Jigawa, Kano, Kaduna, Katsina, Sokoto, Kebbi and Zamfara States) to further enhance effective mobilization, vital contacts, co-ordination and follow-ups.”

‘’The nomination was diligently and efficiently assessed before it was finally approved. That also was sequel to a recent meeting between SDGs Focal Persons from the 36 States of the federation, Federal Capital, Abuja (FCT) and the Presidency, Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the President on SDGs and Programme Management Committee (OSSAP-SDGs/PMC),’’ read the letter.
“Kindly accept PMC’s esteemed regards and congratulations, for this important national assignment,” the letter congratulates him.
The statement said it is expected that his newly assigned position would give him more courage to “…ensure the successful planning and hosting of the proposed Senior Executive Conference on Next-Level Agenda and SDGs 2030. As well as the Presidential Banquet Dinner in honour of critical stakeholders of the UN SDGs.”
‘’Habibu Yahaya Hotoro has Degree and Masters in Law and is currently pursuing PhD program. With his years of experience nationally and beyond, it is believed that governor Ganduje saw in him (Hotoro) wealth of experience and expertise, which informed his elevation from Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on SDGs to a Special Adviser status.’’
