The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has displayed the name of personal assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on broadcast media Shaaban Ibrahim Sharada as the APC candidate for Kano Municipal federal constituency despite a court ruling nullifying his candidature.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Thursday released the full names of candidates for the presidential and National Assembly elections across the country.
INEC published the names on its website on Thursday, 29 days to the general elections.
The list was signed by INEC secretary, Mrs Rose Oririan-Anthony.
Solacebase correspondent on a visit to INEC office in Kano Municipal on Friday discovered that though a Federal High Court judgment on Tuesday nullify the candidature of Shaaban Ibrahim Sharada ordered INEC to recognize Muntari Ishaq Yakasai as APC candidate for Kano Municipal federal constituency
Although Shaaban Ibrahim Sharada has vowed to challenge the judgment at the Court of Appeal.
