Shaaban Sharada To Establish N100m Foundation For Vulnerable
House of Representatives Committee Chairman on National Security and Intelligence, Shaaban Ibrahim Sharada has promised to commit N100 million to the establishment of a foundation to support the vulnerable and eradicate poverty.
Shaaban Ibrahim Sharada made the pledged on Wednesday at a dinner in Kano organized in his honour and attended by Kano state Governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.
He said the initiative is to support the education of the vulnerable and empower the needy in his community.
Shaaban Sharada while appreciating governor Ganduje on the appointment of Baffa Babba Dangundi as Managing Director, Kano Road Traffic Agency (KAROTA), appealed to the governor not to forget former Chairman of Kano Municipal, Muktar Ishaq in the scheme of appointment so as to uplift the area.
The House of Representatives member, representing Kano Municipal Federal Constituency solicit governor Ganduje’s support for a piece of land at the ‘’Mahaha’’ playground to construct the foundation secretariat for proximity to the people.
‘’The foundation is borne out of emulating the Ganduje foundation which has been supporting the vulnerable for ages in so many spheres. I can assure you all that the N100m for the foundation is not from the National Assembly,’’ said Sharada.
‘’My election into the House of Representatives and my appointment as committee chairman on national security are call to serve the nation and ensure that we support the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari to move the nation to the next level.’’
On his part, Governor Abdullahi Ganduje said though Shaaban Ibrahim Sharada is a young upcoming politician that has the spirit of developing others.
‘’I pray other politicians would emulate your kind of politics without bitterness for the development of our state and the country at large, said Ganduje.
Solacebase recalled that prior to his election, Shaaban Ibrahim Sharada was an aide to President Muhammadu Buhari on Broadcast Media.
