The Sir Ahmadu Bello Memorial Foundation has decried increasing insecurity and loss of innocent lives due to insurgency and banditry in the country.
The foundation said the security situation in the country calls for urgent and drastic measures by the federal government to address the development.
This was contained in a communiqué signed and issued by the foundation Director-General, Engr. Abubakar Gambo Umar at the end of the board of trustees and advisory council joint meeting held on Wednesday, October 20th.
Solacebase reports that the communique called for increase funding of education in the country and recommended additional funding mechanisms.

It said the meeting considered the expansion/increase of Scholarship coverage to indigent students.
‘’The meeting also considered Vocational Education because it places the students closer to the Labour markets. The Joint Meeting considered advocacy on development of skills component in children at an early stage of their education very important, ‘’said the communiqué.
‘’The Joint Meeting approved the convocation of 2022 Annual Lecture and Merit Award of the Foundation to be held in Kano.’’
