Kano state government has urged state indigene coaches serving in various national teams to partner with the state aimed at moving it to greater heights.
The Senior Special Assistant to the state governor on sports development, Alhaji Mu’azzam Ibrahim Marafan Wamban Kano made the call at a meeting on measures to improve sports in the state.
Mu’azzam said the meeting was to discuss thoroughly on how the state government, as well as teeming younger footballers, would benefit from their vast of experience in order to sustain the impressive performance of the state at national and international engagements.

He added that Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje will definitely appreciate their contributions and support towards achieving the desired objectives.
The SSA promised to continue operating an open door policy especially with the state indigenes who have excelled at various sporting activities in other states to contribute their quota for the overall development of the state.
He maintained that the state was blessed with abundant talented players who need encouragement and support to excel at various national and international tournaments.
While commending Governor Ganduje for his unflinching support morally and financial towards moving the sub-sector to the greater heights.
Mu’azzam however, appealed to sports stakeholders to rally round the present administration on its efforts to develop various sporting activities in the state and the country in general.
Responding, the former Super Eagles and Enugu Rangers coach, Salisu Yusuf D Black, Abdu Maikaba of Plateau United of Jos, Usman Abdullah if Wikki Tourists of Bauchi and Ibrahim Musa of Kano Pillars described the meeting as timely, assuring to continue to contribute their quota for the upliftment of the state whenever the need arises.
