Kano state task force committee on fake and counterfeit products of the ministry of health on Thursday discovered an illegal premises used for manufacturing fake Agrochemical manufacturing outlet in kwajalawa quarters in Tarauni local government area of the state.
Shading more light on the operation the secretary of the committee pharmacist Samaila Ciroma explained that all the products, Generators, Grinding and milling machine , as well as the bulk of the fake Agrochemical were confiscated by the committee and the premises was shut down.
A statement signed by the state ministry of health public relations officer Ismail Garba Gwammaja said in a related development the pharmaceutical inspection committee enforcement team closed down five pharmaceutical outlet in the metropolis for allegedly lack of registration, sale of expired drugs and unethical practices which is against the ethics of the profession.
The statement enjoined people to report any suspected illegal or unauthorized manufacturing activities in their communities to the ministry of health for prompt action and equally contact pharmacists council of Nigeria, Kano office along Ibrahim Taiwo opposite Radio Kano for further information.
