Vestigio Technology Solutions Ltd, says a recent trending video of a CCTV control room online belong to Kano State and also domiciled in the state.
Vestigio Technology Solutions Ltd, Kano state project partner on the installation of CCTV across the city announced this on Tuesday while Journalists were allowed access into the CCTV control room.
The Managing Director of the company, Onyedika Ugochukwu said the reasons for going round the control room with journalists was to debunk trending reports online that the CCTV control room belong to another state and situated in the state.
‘’The attention of the Kano State Government and its Project partner – Vestigio Technology Solutions Ltd, has been drawn to reports on Online media that the recent trending video of a CCTV control room in Kano State belongs to another State in the Federation, ‘’said Ugochukwu.
‘’We wish to categorically state that these reports are false and a clear misinformation and mis-representation of the facts.’’
He said Kano State Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje pioneered this legacy project titled – “SAFE STATE” in 2016.
Ugochukwu said hundreds of surveillance cameras have been installed across Kano metropolis so as to improve security and guarantee safety of lives and properties of the residents.
‘’The scope of the project is to install CCTV cameras across Kano metropolis and other parts of the State providing 24/7 video surveillance of streets, roads, markets, junctions and many areas of interest.
‘’While work is currently ongoing, many of these cameras are indeed in operation and are both visible and hidden to the public. ‘’
‘’Furthermore, Police Patrol vehicles and Ambulances shall be provided in an innovative and creative structure; a first in Nigeria, with the objective to deliver effective 24/7 First Responder Emergency services to the good people of Kano State and all its residents and investors.’’
