The Kano State Road and Traffic Agency (KAROTA), on Saturday evening, lost yet another officer after a trailer driver crushed him to death around Mega Filling Station, Hotoro area of the state.
This is coming just a day after the police in Kano succeeded in arresting a driver (Alkasim Usaini) who allegedly ran down another official of the agency (Ahmad Tijjani) on the 29th of Oct, while on duty which also led to his death.
This was contained in a statement issued by KAROTA Public Relations Officer Nabilisi Abubakar K/Na’isa and forwarded to Solacebase on Sunday.

The statement said colleagues and other eyewitnesses around the scene succeeded in preventing the driver from getting away, as he was arrested and handed over to the police in the area for further investigation.
‘’ The ill-fated officer identified as Abdulrahaman Sani who was crying for help was evacuated from the scene and rushed to the hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival by doctors on duty at the Murtala Muhammad Specialist Hospital, ‘’said the statement.
‘’The MD Baffa Dan’agundi said the Agency is bereaved by the sad incidence and condoles the family members of the late officer while warning the general public to desist from such act as the law would catch up with anyone who engages in committing such crime.’’
