Unilorin: 25,000 admission seekers sit for post-UTME test

The University of Ilorin (Unilorin) has disclosed 25,000 admission seekers have commenced the 2023 post-UTME test of the institution from Feb. 13 to Feb. 17.

Speaking on the development, Prof. Abayomi Omotesho, the university’s Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), explained that the computer-based test is part of the pre-admission screening of candidates for the 2022/2023 admission.

He noted that adequate arrangements have been put in place for the admission seekers to ensure that the Computer Based Test (CBT) goes smoothly and without hiccups.

Omotesho explained that the test is expected to be completed by Feb. 16, 2023, noting that Feb. 17 is to accommodate any candidate that fails to sit for the test within those four days.

He further explained that the CBT would be conducted only within the university campus, pleading with parents to ensure that their wards comply with all the test instructions.

“We are appealing to the candidates to maintain decorum, while assuring that the university has sufficient capacity to handle the number of candidates enrolled for the test,” he said.

Omotesho however warned candidates to beware of scammers and counselled them to only use the official platforms of the institution for information and communication.

He also advised the candidates to attend the test punctually at the time they are scheduled for, adding that “they are expected to dress decently as the University places great emphasis on decent dressing on its campus”. (NAN)
