The former General Manager, Vision Radio FM in Kano, Malam Adamu Salihu Ladan has denied been arrested by the police.
Solacebase had earlier reported a mass resignation of 13 management staff of Vision Radio FM in Kano, in May, 2021.
In a notice of disengagement signed by the13 management staff led by the Station General Manager, Adamu Ladan, addressed to the Group General Manager of the station in Abuja, the staff said their appointment has been on probation since engaged in January 2019 though it was supposed to last for six months as indicated in their appointment letters.
According to the letter, the affected management staff appealed to the station to pay their outstanding salaries and claims before their exit from the organization.

Among the staff that tendered their resignation were Adamu Salihu Ladan, Muhammad Garba, Ahmad Rufai Bello, Captain Abdullahi Adamu Bakoji (rtd), Sadik Muhammad Kiyawa, Aliyu Abubakar Getso and Mustapha Khamis.
Other are , Ashiru Shehu Kachako, Isyaku Turaki Maje, Lami Sumayya Murtala , Samira Adam and Lami Shema.
Also, 12 of the former staff wrote a demand notice to the organisation requesting for over N8, 502, 420, being outstanding salaries and operational claims.
In a letter written by their Lawyer, B.A Mu’az of H.H. Ma’aruf & Co, to the company Chairman, the staff threatened legal action if their demand is not met.
The lawyer’s letter received on November 8th, 2021 by the organisation and sighted by Solacebase listed the affected staff referred to in the letter as their clients to include, Adamu Salihu Ladan, Muhammad Garba, Ahmad Rufai Bello, Captain Abdullahi Adamu Bakoji (rtd), Sadik Muhammad Kiyawa, Aliyu Abubakar Getso and Mustapha Khamis.
Other are , Ashiru Shehu Kachako, Isyaku Turaki Maje, Lami Sumayya Murtala , Samira Adam and Lami Shema.
Copies of the letter was served the Inspector General of Police, AIG Zonal 1, Kano, Commissioner of Police Kano, Director DSS and Zonal Director of EFCC.

However, subsequent upon their resignation, the management staff alleged that the organisation has been trying to use police to intimidate and harass them despite having obligation of settling their outstanding which it has refused to.
In a statement issued by the station former General Manager, Adamu Salihu Ladan, on Wednesday, and sent to Solacebase, he expressed surprise over a story circulated on the social media of his purported arrest by the police.
‘’ My attention is drawn to a mischievous news circulating that I was arrested. That is a rumour. I was never arrested by anyone, I am right now in the comfort of my house. The Nigeria Police are too professional to be used as tools of repression by anybody or persons,’’ the statement said .
‘’The news been circulated is the figment of the imagination of the Vision media and its cohorts who want to scare me and all those fighting for their legitimate entitlement from the company.’’
The statement said,’’ The rumour not withstanding, I will continue to champion the fight against tyranny been perpetrated by unscrupulous media owners in the industry.’’
Adamu Ladan said in the statement that he was invited by the police over unsubstantiated allegation by Vision Radio owners.

According to him , after the police discovered that the allegations are frivolous, he was asked to go.
In the statement, he urged the Vision FM owners to settle the innocent workers entitlement been pursued through our lawyer and the Economic and Financial Crimes commission (EFCC).
When contacted, Group General Manager, Vision Media Services Limited, Alhaji Iliyasu Abubakar told Solacebase that he was not aware of the invitation of the former General Manager by the police.

Also, when asked about the outstanding salaries of the 13 management staff that resigned from the station in Kano , about seven months ago, he claimed not to be in picture of the situation presently, but promised to send the contact of the Managing Director or the Chairman of the organisation to this newspaper after getting approval from them.
However, till the time of filing this report, he was yet to revert to the reporter.
