Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital (AKTH) has denied claims that the tertiary health institution is awarding contracts.
A statement issued by AKTH Deputy Director Press and Public Relations Hauwa Muhammad Abdullahi, on Wednesday in Kano, said the management of the hospital had of recent been inundated with inquiries from members of the public on the availability of contracts based on rumours spread by unknown persons who could be fraudsters.
The statement said the management wishes to make it abundantly clear that the hospital has no contracts to award to anyone because all the construction works currently on going at the hospital were awarded by the Federal Government.
It urged the public not to open themselves to fraudsters who might entice and dupe them under the guise of promising them of non-existing contract at the Hospital.

Solacebase recalls that two unsuspecting members of the public were reportedly duped of huge sums of money earlier in the year by fraudsters who falsely claimed to have the influence to secure contracts for them at the hospital.
‘’The hospital management hereby advise that anyone approached regarding any purported award of contracts in the name of the hospital to immediately report the matter to the hospital or relevant security agencies for necessary action, ‘’said the statement.
