Why Ganduje did not attend APC reconciliatory meeting- Abdullahi Abbas

The factional Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Kano state, Alhaji Abdullahi Abbas has said Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje’s absence at the party’s reconciliatory meeting was not deliberate.

Abbas told Daily Telescope on Tuesday that Ganduje was preoccupied by some important official engagements in Kano state.

The development confirmed Solacebase story on Tuesday on Governor Abdullahi Ganduje’s absence at the peace meeting twice.

He said: “Everybody is aware that the governor has today, Tuesday, hosted some important personalities in the state for the official inauguration of Gerawa Rice Mill.

“The Governor of the Central Bank, Mr Godwin Emefele, Governor of Kebbi state his Jigawa counterpart, Alhaji Muhammad Badaru Abubakar were all in Kano today for the inauguration of Gerawa Rice Mill.

He said it will be unfair for the governor to abandon this important event in order to attend the meeting.

“Off course, the meeting is equally important to the governor, but it is obvious that inauguration of the rice mill supersedes  the meeting. This is something that will bring Jon opportunities to our teeming youth, off course, you cannot compare it with a political meeting.

“However, as we keep on saying, we are ready for genuine reconciliation, I am sure the governor will avail himself for this important meeting. He is willing and ready to reconcile with the Shekarau-led faction of the APC.”
