Kano Road and Traffic Agency KAROTA has said that contrary to insinuations that its personnel abandoned their duty posts on Sunday as a result of a misunderstanding with the police, the personnel were asked to stay away from work as a result of intelligent reports that some gunmen have planned to attack them.
KAROTA Managing Director, Baffa Babba Dan’agundi said the Agency enjoys good relations with the all Security agencies including police and would always resolve any problem with sister agencies amicably.
A statement issued by KAROTA Public Relation Officer Nabilusi Abubakar K/Na’isa and sent to Solacebase on Monday said the MD however confirmed report that one of his personnel who had differences with a civilian that led to leg fracture of the motorist has since been arrested.

It said on no account should a KAROTA engage anyone in a fight, doing so violates the ethics of the work.
The statement called on the public to remain calm while the police carry out their investigations to unravel the circumstances that led to the ugly incidence.
