Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf has approved the appointment of Dr. Abubakar Umar Faruk as acting Rector, Kano State Polytechnic.
In a letter dated December, 4th, 2023, and sighted by SOLACEBASE takes immediate effect.
The letter signed by Commissioner for Higher Education, Dr. Yusuf Ibrahim Kofamata said
‘’ It suffices to highlight that the onerous appointment is informed by the consideration of your career antecedents and sterling quality of unblemished records of service experience, administrative acumen, perseverance and doggedness in discharging public spirited responsibilities.

Such strides, the government is aware, constitute the critical yardsticks for His Excellency, the State Executive Governor, to humbly arrive at the right decision/consideration of tasking you with this herculean responsibility as the Chief Executive and Academic Officer of the historic Institution on acting capacity.’’
‘’Accordingly, I am personally optimistic that the reposed in you, will Insha Allah, come to fruition while taking the mantle of headship of the great educational hub. The government therefore, implores you to continue to cascade your laudable antecedents of patriotic disposition, , commitment, and overzealousness to all and sundry particularly the staff and students to rejuvenate the multi-campuses polytechnic and the turn-it-around to a better and robust citadel of learning.’’
