Zulum Visits UNIMAID, Day After Boko Haram Attempted Attack
Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum on Monday, visited the University of Maiduguri, a day after Boko Haram terrorists attempted to attack the higher institution.
The governor during the visit said that he had directed the State Commissioner of Works to enlarge the trench surrounding the school immediately.
Governor Babagana Zulum said this on his official Twitter handle, @GovZulum.
“I have directed the Commissioner of works to immediately mobilize excavators to enlarge the trench that surrounds the university.
According to the tweet,“We will also provide surveillance gadgets to the security personnel for effective and efficient vigilance. Let me also restate the commitment of my administration to continue protecting the lives and properties of our people.’’
Boko Haram militants had attempted to attack UNIMAID on Sunday, but the attack was repelled by troops.
