According to one of the stranded intending pilgrims in an interview with Solacebase on Thursday evening, Fatima Tijjani said she is from Kwara state and has been at the airport since Monday morning.
She could not hold her emotion as she said like the others, they can’t find any of the travel agents handling their issue.
Meanwhile, the premises of the foreign airline expected to airlift them located within the airport was surrounded by the angry pilgrims, as the airline management tried vainly to explain the situation.
Solacebase gathered that the plight of the stranded pilgrims was borne out of the crisis between the NAHCON Chairman, Abdullahi Muktar and some private tour operators
