2023: APC remains the best ,security our top priority-Magashi

Minister of Defence, Gen.Bashir Salihi Magashi( rtd.) has said the All Progressives Congress (APC) remains the best and strongest party to win the presidency in the next general elections come 2023.

The Minister made the disclosure to Journalists on Saturday shortly after he revalidated his membership of APC at Gidan Makama primary school, Magashi ward in Gwale Local government, Kano State.

Solacebase reports Magashi noted that despite the internal challenges rocking the ruling party, he is confident that the APC remains the heart of Nigerians.

Speaking on National Security, Gen. Magashi assured that the federal government is not taking the issue of insecurity with levity.

On the protest of #OccupyLekkiTollgate on Saturday, Magashi said that the government will not sit down and watch some people destabilise the country.

He said that the Buhari-led administration will not be governed the way some people want it.

“If some people are seeing this country, that it has to be governed the way they want, they are mistaken,” Magashi said. “We are not elected to serve particular people. We were elected to serve this country. Whoever is involved in this thing, the military or the government will not allow it to happen.

“Our interest is to ensure that there is peace and security in this country and that economic activities and social life of people are restored. That is our purpose. Whatever is happening here and there is an opinion of government.”
