The remains of the late Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, Mallam Abba Kyari, have been laid to rest at Gudu cemetery, Abuja on Saturday.

Mallam Abba Kyari was buried after the Muslim funeral prayers were at the Defence house at exactly 10.25 am.
Solacebase reports that Defense House was Abba Kyari’s official residence while he served as Chief of Staff.
Speaking to reporters at the Defence House, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu, said the burial would be private.
Mallam Garba Shehu said that there would be no room for condolence visits or other ceremonies.
He explained that in strict observation of the protocol put in place for the burial of Coronavirus patients by the @NCDCgov and the Federal Ministry of Health, the funeral prayer and burial was conducted in private.
According to him, “Thereafter, there will be no such ceremonies as condolence visits. Well-meaning friends, family members and the general public are encouraged to pray for the repose of the Abba Kyari’s soul
