Activist, Najaatu Muhammad changes techniques in advocating good governance

The Convener of Salamah Youth and Enlightenment Initiative, a coalition of Non Governmental Organizations, Hajiya Najaatu Muhammad has expressed readiness to devote the rest of her life to educating and enlightening the Youths, towards making their good hope a reality.

Solacebase reports that Hajiya Naja,atu disclosed this on Saturday at a town hall meeting in Kano with youth groups and other stakeholders.

She bemoaned what she described as shortfall of commitment from clerics in educating people to understand their God-given responsibility and to preach accordingly.

”Prophet Muhammad ( PBUH) says when the end of existence is getting closer, preachers and clerics will glorify and gives undue respect to those in the corridors of power in return for various kind of worldly inducement,” she said.

She stressed that with all her comments against the governments both previously and currently without accomplishment in getting Nigeria out of shackles of poverty and insecurity, it is now ripe according to her to change technique and move on from politics.

”I’m presently pessimistic in Nigerian politics, my interest in our national politics vanished into thin air. All hope is lost given what’s presently transpiring, I would not politically support any other persons again. It is time to change the narrative outside politics, for politics is nothing but mirage and distraction.”

Hajia Najaatu said Salamah was organized to change the youths perspective and rekindle their hope to understand that there is dawn at the end of every night.

Naja,atu explained that her newly established initiative will collaborate with the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to have direct access to a sequel of monetary interventions.

”There are multiple interventions from CBN that are beneficial to the downtrodden but unknown to many. Most of the time these interventions are bypassed by politicians who are careless to cater for the development of the youth.”

She pointed out that she has discovered talented youths in northern Nigeria noting that they are limited with having non-support and encouragement.

The activist noted that Salamah is a coalition of over hundred NGOs, including that of anti-drug abuse so as to successfully rehabilitate addicts and engage them with skills and entrepreneurship subsequently.

In a remark, Kano Commander, National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) , Isah Likita Muhammad emphasised responsibility of youths  in stimulating the political and socioeconomic development of the nation, urging them to refrain from substance abuses.
