Joint Stakeholders Forum of Kano All Progressive Congress has accused 7 members of the Gov. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje’s faction of masterminding the attack on the property of Senator representing Kano North, Senator Barau Jibrin on Thursday.
Solacebase reports that in a petition letter received on December 3rd and addressed to the Inspector General of Police , Alkali Usman, the six signatories demanded a thorough investigation into the matter and threat to their lives by the 7 persons named in the letter.
According to the letter those accused were Abdullahi Abbas referred to as former Kano State APC Chairman, Murtala Sule Garo, Kano State Commissioner for Local Government, Gwarmai ( An appointee of Kano State Government), Faizu Alfindiki , Chairman , Kano Municipal Local Government Council, Khalid Ishaq Diso, Chairman, Gwale Local Government Council, Hassan Garban Kauye, Chairman, Kumbotso Local Govt Council and Auwal Lawan Shuaibu, Chairman Nasarawa Local Govt Council.

The petition was signed by Senator Ibrahim Shekarau (Sardaunan Kano) (Kano Central), Senator Barau I. Jibrin. (Kano North), Hon. Nasinu Abduwa (Gezawa/Gabasawa Fed. Const.), Hon Tijani Abdulkadir Jobe. (Dawakin Tofa/Rimin Gado/Tofa Fed. Const.), Hon Shaaban Sharuda (Kano Municipal Fed. Const.) and Hon. Haruna Isa Dederi (Karaye/Rogo Fed. Const.).

COMPLAINT IN RESPECT OF CRIMINAL ACTS OF INTIMIDATION, ARSON
ATTEMPT TO COMMIT MURDER, THREAIS TO LIVES AND CONDUCT LIKELY TO CAUSE BREACH OF THE PEACE
We extend our sincere regards to you.
We are senior elected government officials serving in both chambers of the National Assembly.
We hereby write you in respect of the above stated subject matter.
You will recall that on the 30 of November, 2021, an FCT High Court had delivered judgment in a suit concerning the Kano APC Congresses and the said judgment did not go down well with those who lost in the case.
Regrettably, however, instead of fighting their cause through due legal process, these frustrated elements resorted to carrying out the criminal acts mentioned above. We have been reliably informed, which information we verily believe to be true and correct that through the night of 1 December, 2021 to the early morning of 2nd December, 2021, the persons mentioned below together with some other well-armed thugs organized and set ablaze the campaign office of
Distinguished Senator Barau Jibrin who represents Kano North Senatorial District and attempted to kill those they met at the scene. They also tried to burn our party office located along Zaria Road Kano and kill or inflict bodily harm to its occupants. They also moved passed by our respective residences and those of some other people opposed to their vie with armed thugs chanting war songs in an attempt to unleash violence on law abiding citizens. These people are

3 Gwarmai (a well-known thug who is even on the police wanted list, but still an appointee of the Kano State Government)

- Hassan Garban Kauye (Chairman of Kumbotso Local Govt. Council)
- Auwal Lawan Shuaibu (Chairman of Nassarawa Local Govt. Council)

It is irrefutable that ABDULLAHI ABBAS is well known throughout Kano for his persistent and arrogant use of abusive language and enlisting the help of thugs.
We the undersigned as well as our teeming followers in Kano constantly face threats to our lives and Safety from these people. It is therefore pertinent to stress that, should anything happen to us and our supporters, the aforementioned people should be held responsible.
In the circumstances therefore, we hereby write to request you, sir to use your good offices to thoroughly investigate this matter with a view to bringing everyone involved to bo0k and 1orestall any further breakdown of law and order as well as prevent any reprisal attacks.
Their hope is to see reprisal attacks from our side so as to turn Kano into a killing field. In spite of the threats and provocations, however, as responsible leaders, we shall continue to be law abiding hoping that you will address our complaint as appropriate
