President Muhammad Buhari on Saturday departed Daura, his hometown in Katsina State where he spent the Eid-el-Kabir holidays, for Abuja.
The President who left on Saturday was seen off to the Umar Musa Airport by the Katsina State Governor, Aminu Bello Masari, together with his deputy, Mannir Yakubu and other government officials.
Before his departure, he addressed troops of the Nigerian Army noting that he was pleased with their fight against insurgents in Zamfara, Kaduna and parts of Katsina States.
He, therefore, challenged them to deal ruthlessly with any armed robber, cattle rustler and bandit who is caught, adding that Nigerians deserve to live in peace.
Furthermore, he reminded them that the present administration had pledged to provide security, enhance the economy and fight corruption.
Speaking on the issue of unemployment, the President decried that 60% of the population is below 30 years of age and have been unable to secure jobs after their education.
He, however, stated that his administration has continued to do devise more strategies and program to curb the menace
