President Muhammadu Buhari to named Adamu Mohammed, a former commissioner of police in Enugu state, as acting Inspector General of Police (IGP).
The new acting IGP would be presented tomorrow at a news conference by the outgoing IGP, Ibrahim Idris .
Before his appointment, AIG Adamu Muhammad was at the National Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Kuru, near Jos.
Mohammed was a deputy commissioner of police in Ekiti state and had served at the Interpol before he rose to the rank of assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG).

Ibrhim Idris is retiring after reaching 60 years as he born on January 15, 1959 and after completing the mandatory 35 years in service.
Mohammed, popularly known as Mohammed Lafia, was, until his appointment, an assistant inspector-general in charge of Zone 5.
Mohammed, who hails from Lafia, Nasarawa State, was born on November 9, 1961.
He enlisted in the police in 1986. He has a Bachelor’s degree in geography.
