BUK Partners Kano Anti- Graft Commission

The Bayero University Kano has sought collaboration with the Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission in the areas of interest.

The request was made by the Director of the University SERVICOM Directorate Dr Sani Ibrahim Ameen when he paid a visit to the Chairman of the Commission Barrister Muhuyi Magaji Rimingado in his office.

Dr Ameen noted that the SERVICOM Charter and Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission Law are meant to entrench good governance and resolve complaints from aggrieved parties hence the need for collaboration between the two organizations.

A statement issued by Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission Director Special Assignment, Usman Bello and forwarded to Solacebase on Thursday said  Bayero University is indeed impressed with the performance of the Commission in resolving various disputes among the people and the fight against corruption.

According to the statement, the Chairman Barrister Muhuyi Magaji Rimingado expressed the Commission readiness to collaborate with the University and other organizations in order to bring sanity in the society.

The statement said the Commission welcomed the development and immediately appointed a liaison officer for the University in the Commission in order to strengthen the relationship and ease engagements with the University.

Barrister Muhuyi Magaji Rimingado informed the visitor that the Commission has recovered money and landed properties for complainants from individuals and Government Agencies in the state.

The Chairman said the Commission employ mediation rather than litigation in addressing some of the complaints reported.
