CITAD donates books to Kano varsity

The Centre for Information Technology and Development (CITAD) has donated hundred books to Sa’adatu Rimi University of Education Kumbotso, Kano state.

SOLACEBASE reports that during the presentation of the books on Thursday in Kano, CITAD Senior Program Officer, Malam Isa Garba, said the donation is part of the organisation’s efforts to support the tertiary institutions in the state.

“We have been partnering with so many academic institutions in order to support education, recently we trained two set of Bayero University Staff in the area of data analysis, ninety percent of them are academic staff who are into research, and the skills they acquired during the training would simplify their research in the academic environment.

“Currently we are training staff of the registry department of Yusuf Maitama Sule University Kano, we are also partnering with Bayero University Kano and Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology Wudil in the area of knowledge production, the partnership is a series of dialogue session in the key areas that would be of interest for knowledge production.

He added that the organisation’s door is open for partnership with any organization, especially academic institutions, because the center is knowledge based organization.

On his part, the Secretary to the university librarian, Muaz Abubakar Adam, who collected the books on behalf of Sa’adatu Rimi University of Education Kano, expressed gratitude to the center for the donation.
