Chairman House Committee on Rural Development and member representing Dawakin-Tofa, Rimin-Gado and Tofa,  Federal Constituency, Engr. Tijjani Abdulkadir Jobe has said that he is in the National Assembly to prove his worth in fulfilment of the mandate he has gotten from his people and that he would not want to be branded as a name dropping legislator.

Speaking shortly after the flag-off of the Rimin-Gado-Gulu road which held at the Rimin-Gado Local Government Area, Kano, on Saturday, Jobe stated that his style of representation was not that of unnecessary noise-making, rather it was predicated on the action and the capacity to deliver.

He stressed that the mandate given to him by his people to serve at the National Assembly for four consecutive terms was a testimony of his purposeful representation.

According to him, making empty promises and promises based on deceit and propaganda is unbecoming of a person voted on trust and confidence to serve his people at the time when such people were in dire need of critical infrastructure in order to have a good taste of the much-pronounced dividend of democracy pointing out that no responsible politician would love to be associated with a myriad of failures.

‘’He, however, stated that executing constituency projects to the satisfaction of his people has been his major cardinal thrust since coming on board as a legislator adding that in the last one year, he had successfully executed 48 various projects ranging from the drilling of boreholes, solar energy pumps and classrooms blocks in addition to the roads he constructed,’’ said the Lawmaker.

‘’He further revealed that the contract awarded for the construction of Rimin gado -Gulu town was meant to assist farmers in the area to transport the crops they cultivated for onward disposal in the markets lamenting that the absence of such a road network had greatly hampered the resolve of farmers in the areas  in accessing the markets without tears.’’

‘’He said the contract of the road awarded, would be closely monitored for quality assurance calling on people in the area not to hesitate in pin-pointing where lapses were detected.
