Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State has gone into self-isolation following contact with the son of Atiku Abubakar.
The former vice President had on Sunday night announced that his son tested his positive for Coronavirus and is now being treated in isolation at a teaching hospital in Abuja.
Ladan Salihu, the Governor’s Chief of Staff said Abubakar and some of his sons had contact with the son of the former Vice President after boarding a flight from Abuja to Lagos with him on his Twitter account on Monday afternoon.
Ladan said on his Twitter handle: “Our Governor Bala Mohammed in self-isolation following contact with Atiku Abubakar’s Son.
“Yes. We were on the same flight from Lagos to Abuja. They shook hands and exchanged pleasantries.
“The gov and the rest of us have taken tests. The results will be negative Insha Allah.”
