JUST IN: EFCC operatives conduct search at Dangote head office over FX deal

Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) are currently conducting a search operation at the Lagos head office of the Dangote Group.

They are conducting a search on forex allocations to the company during the tenure of Godwin Emefiele as Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria.

Dele Oyewale, the EFCC’s spokesman confirmed the development.

A source at the Dangote head office said the operatives are asking for documents on foreign exchange transactions with the CBN.
