Ahead of the upcoming Eid-el Kabir celebrations, the Nigeria Security And Civil Defence Corps, has deployed 1,750 personnel to provide security cover at various Eid grounds, palaces, monuments, event and recreational centres across Kano state.
Kano State Commandant, of the Corps, Abu Abdu Tambuwal gave the approval in a statement issued by the command public relations officer, DSC Ibrahim Idris Abdullahi, and sent to Solacebase on Saturday.
Solacebase reports that the Sultan of Sokoto and President-General, Nigeria Supreme Council of Islamic Affairs, Alhaji Saad Abubakar III had announced July,20th as eid-el-Kabir day as the federal government also declared July 20 and 21st Tuesday and Wednesday as public holidays.

‘’The NSCDC has been expanding its intelligence network with a view to nip in the bud any security threat in the state during the festive period,’’ said the statement.
‘’The Corps is on alert and poised to deal decisively with miscreants/thugs who might, unfortunately, wish to foment trouble and disrupt public peace in whatever guise before, during after Sallah.’’
‘’The general public are to be calm as all efforts are being made by the Corps and indeed all the security agencies for a hitch-free 2021 Eid-el Kabir celebrations in Kano.’’
