The Emir of Karaye Alhaji Ibrahim Abubakar II has dissolved all traditional title holders of the emirate with immediate effect.
Announcing this shortly after a meeting held with outgoing traditional title holders at the emir’s palace last Friday, the Magajin Gari of Karaye and Senior Councillor of the Emirate Engineer Shehu Ahmad said the disillusion did not affect the titles of eight District heads of the emirate.
This was contained in a statement issued by the Emirate Council Information Officer, Haruna Gunduwawa and sent to Solacebase on Monday
The statement said the Emir expressed readiness to expand the title confirmation in accordance with the eight local government areas of the emirate and assured that some of them will be returned as others will be promoted.
According to the statement, the Senior Councillor, the Emir expressed appreciated the title holders on their tremendous contributions offered towards the development of the emirate.
