Foundation trains 80 young activists on social justice in Kano

The FlexiSAF Foundation, in partnership with the Nigeria Youth Futures Fund (NYFF), has trained and empowered over 80 young individuals with essential skills and knowledge to become effective advocates for social change, positively impacting their communities.

The two-day workshop tagged “Activism that Yields Results: Building the Future Now” Workshop (Cohort 2) in Kano,  featured presentations, interactive sessions, and activities on various aspects of activism, including forms, historical significance, effective strategies, and leveraging technology and social media.

Speaking during the workshop, Amina Abubakar, executive director of FlexiSAF Foundation, said the workshop aims to initiate projects that drive positive change in communities, with a step-down webinar planned to provide a platform for participants to cascade their newly acquired advocacy knowledge and skills. 

She emphasised the importance of youth activism in shaping Nigeria’s future and encouraged participants to continue their journey as changemakers to build the  Nigeria we want.

Renowned facilitators from different areas brought their expertise to the workshop, enriching participants’ experiences and empowering them to drive meaningful change in their communities.

The FlexiSAF Foundation is a non-governmental organization dedicated to providing inclusive and quality education to vulnerable and underprivileged children in Nigeria.
