The Federal University Dutse (FUD), Jjgawa state will hold its 6th and 7th combined convocation ceremonies and the investiture of the 2nd Chancellor of the university, His Majesty King W.S. Joshua, Igbugburu, the X, CON, (JP), the Ebenanawei of Bomo Kingdom and the Pioneer Chairman of the Bayelsa State Traditional Council on Saturday, the 24th of February,2024.
The event is scheduled for 9.00 am.

SOLACEBASE reports that the programs lined up for the convocation include the Pre-Convocation Press briefing to Journalists in Jigawa state by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Abdulkarim Sabo Mohammed on the 21st of February.
A statement issued by Abdullahi Yahaya Bello, Deputy Director, Public Affairs, FUD, on Saturday, this will be followed by the commissioning of projects at the Rasheed Shekoni Teaching Hospital by the Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Prof . Muhammad Ali Pate, on Friday, 23rd of February by 10 am prompt.

‘’The Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare will also deliver the Pre-Convocation Lecture titled: Human Capital in the Era of Polycrisis on Friday,23rd, ‘’ the statement said.
‘’The former Minister of Education, Professor Ruqayyatu Ahmad Rufai, OON will chair the Pre-Convocation Lecture.’’
