Gale of resignation in Kano, another commissioner, SSA tender letters

Governor Abdullahi Ganduje’s Education Commissioner, Sunusi Saidu Kiru has resigned his appointment.

Also, Senior Special Assistant to the governor on Monitoring and Evaluation , Farouq Sule Garo resigned his position to pursue his political career.

In his letter of resignation to the governor, Sunusi Saidu Kiru appreciated the opportunity to serve in the Ganduje administration and the confidence reposed in him during the period.

Recalls that Kano State Governor , Abdullahi Ganduje, had directed appointees wishing to contest in 2023 general elections to resign on or before April 18^th in line with the Electoral Act.

However, three other commissioners  have also tendered their resignation that include ,commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs Murtala Sule Garo, commissioner for Rural Development Musa Iliyasu Kwankwaso and his Budget Planning counterpart, Nura Dankadai.

Sunusi Kiru said his resignation is to afford him the opportunity to contest for Bebeji/ Kiru federal constituency at the House of Representatives.

Similarly, Farouq Sule Garo while thanking Governor Abdullahi Ganduje for appointing him  SSA and the free hand to carry out his responsibilities during his stay in office said the experience  gained during the period cannot be quantified.

Garo said the resignation became pertinent so as for him to serve the people in another capacity by contesting for the House of Representatives, Gwarzo /Kabo federal constituency.
