Kano State governor, Dr Abdullahi Ganduje has approved the appointment of Abdu Umar Faruk, Mujitafa Rabiu Baban Usama and Abubakar Danjummai as Senior Special Assistants with effect from 30th July 2020.
The three letters of appointment were signed by Bilikisu Shehu Maimota, Permanent Secretary, Research, Evaluation and Political Affairs Directorate, office of the Secretary to the Kano State Government.
According to the letter of appointment of Abdu Umar Faruk, the governor appointed him Senior Special Assistant, Information, Mujitafa Rabiu Baban Usama was appointed Senior Special Assistant Kano State Hisba Board while Abubakar Danjummai Kingibe was appointed Senior Special Assistant, Knarda.

The letters said the appointments into the position of trust and confidence was made upon a careful assessment of their credentials, competence, track record of performance, dedication to duty, vast experience and patriotism.
Until his appointment, Abdu Umar Faruk had worked with Kano State Radio Corporation and Freedom Radio, Kano as Head of Presentation. Also, he was appointed Senior Special Assistant, Information during Governor Abdullahi Ganduje first tenure.
