Ganduje Appoints New Head of Service, 5 Special Advisers

Kano state governor Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has approved the appointment of new Head of Service, in-person of Hajiya Binta Lawan Ahmed, who until her appointment was the Permanent Secretary State Ministry of Commerce.

She replaces Dr. Kabiru Shehu, who was in an acting capacity, after the completion of his service years, with the state civil service, a few weeks back. Who has tendered his official resignation letter, having completed his service years successfully.

A statement signed on Friday by Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Abba Anwar and made available to Solacebase said Ganduje commended him for the good and patriotic service to the state, during his tenure as the state Head of Service, adding that, “Dr Kabiru Shehu has performed wonderfully well. He was a worker-friendly Head of Service. We all wish him a brighter future in his endeavors.”

According to the statement,  governor Ganduje has approved the appointment of the following as Special Advisers to the Governor with assigned portfolios: Ali Baba (A Gama Lafiya), Special Adviser, Religious Affairs, Mustapha Hamza Buhari (Ba-Kwana), Special Adviser, Political Affairs.

Also appointed is  Hamza Usman Darma, Speaker Adviser, Special Duties, Tijjani Mailafiya Sanka Special Adviser, Council of Emirs and Yusuf Aliyu Tumfafi, Special Adviser, Grassroots

The statement noted that Ganduje wishes them a successful discharge of their assigned responsibilities and assured them that they were picked considering their zeal and commitment towards the development of the state.

All the appointments are with immediate effect.
