The Nigerian Football Federation on Thursday threatened to suspend Kano Football Association from all football-related activities.
The NFF said the attendant implication of the sanction would include suspension of all football clubs in Kano, including Kano Pillars FC in any organized league or competitions.
This was contained in a letter dated December 19, signed by Onoja Joshua on behalf of the General Secretary and obtained by Solacebase addressed to the Kano FA Secretary, entitled Re-Notification of court injunction Against Kano State Football Association Executive Board.

It said the football body is in receipt of a Kano FA letter and a court order in a matter of Muhammad Salisu Rabiu vs Sharu Rabiu Alhan and 11 others restraining Kano FA Executives board from performing their function and it is currently studying same.
In the letter, NFF cited article 68 of the statues, 2010 provides that, NFF, its members, players, match officials, players agents will not take any dispute to ordinary courts unless specifically provided for in this statues and FIFA regulations. Any disagreement shall be submitted to the jurisdiction of FIFA, CAF, WAFU or NFF.
It, therefore, directed Kano FA to withdraw the case before the Kano High Court and all other cases within seven days of the receipt of this letter.
It noted that failure to comply within the stipulated period, the NFF will invoke the relevant provision of the statues to suspend Kano FA from all football-related activities
