Kano state governor , Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje on Monday wrote to the state assembly seeking approval for the appointment of Commissioner for Agriculture, Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna as deputy governor.
The Speaker of the house, Kabir Alhassan Rurum announced this at plenary on the floor while reading the letter sent to the house by the governor on Monday.
Kabir Alhassan Rurum after reading the letter asked the house if the nominee be invited for screening .in which there was unanimous approval.
The Speaker then requested the deputy governor nominee to be screen tomorrow Tuesday by 10.30am.
Solacebase recalled that the former deputy governor, Prof. Hafiz Abubakar recently resigned citing not being carried along in the administration of the state as part of reasons for his resignation.
