Good Governance: NUJ Challenges Newly Sworn In Kano Commissioners

The leadership of the Correspondents Chapel, Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Kano state council congratulates the newly appointed Commissioners in Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje’s cabinet, also known as the Ganduje Next Level Team.

The union commends Governor Ganduje for his resolve to select the best hands that will steer the ship of development in Kano in the next four years.

A statement issued by Chairman Correspondents Chapel Comrade Ibrahim Garba Shuaibu on Wednesday said the caliber of​ people selected by Governor Ganduje as members of his new cabinet clearly attests to his unflinching commitment to building on the modest achievements recorded in his first tenure for the overall development of Kano state.

Solacebase recalled that the commissioners were cleared by the House of Assembly on Tuesday and sworn in in the evening with a maiden state council meeting in the evening

‘’It also justified the seeming delay before the formation of his cabinet, as it is observed that he actually did enough homework before coming up with this fantastic Team,’’ said the statement.

‘’We are hopeful that the Team, dominated by experienced, learned, intelligent and pragmatic young administrators cum politicians will meet the expectations of the Kano electorate who wholeheartedly restored their confidence in Governor Ganduje by massively voting for him to govern Kano for another four years.’’

‘’We are particularly impressed with the re-appointment of our own, the former President of NUJ, Malam Muhammad Garba as the Commissioner of Information. As we congratulate and appreciate Malam Garba for the smooth working relationship we enjoyed with him in the last four years, we also urge him to increase the tempo by making relevant information always available for effective execution of our responsibilities as members of the Fourth Estate of the Realm.’’
