Gov. Abdulrazaq orders Kwara Poly to allow students write exam without tuition

Gov. Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq of Kwara has directed authorities of Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin, to allow all students to write their examinations, whether or not they have paid their tuition fees.

This is contained in a statement issued by Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Ibrahim Suleiman, on Monday in Ilorin.

According to the state, the governor has looked into the appeals by the institution’s students to be allowed to write their examinations, while they pay up their tuition fees at later dates.

”The governor has graciously granted this request, in full appreciation of the extant economic situation in the country.

”He, however, appealed to the affected students to reciprocate this goodwill by ensuring prompt payment of their fees, which are critical to the effective running of the institution.

”The governor wishes all the students superlative performances in their studies and reassures all stakeholders of government’s continuous support for the polytechnic community and other educational institutions in the state,” the statement said. (NAN)
